About FFSLures!
Born from a Passion for Finesse Lure Fishing
FFSLures was created by Tom Moir, a British Army veteran with a lifelong passion for fishing.
Tom fell in love with finesse lure fishing as a way to grab a couple of hours on the bank, unwind and enjoy fishing without needing to spend an entire day doing it.
The name FFSLures came from the very first lure Tom created — the Floating Finesse Stick, or more affectionately known as the "FFS".
What started with one lure has grown into a range of finesse soft plastics designed for anglers who want quality, versatility and effective presentation without unnecessary complication.
No expense is spared in the quality of our raw materials or equipment. Tom's background means he's a bit of a perfectionist, and when it comes to our own products, only the best will do.
The FFSLures relaunch
FFSLures has recently gone through an exciting relaunch.
Rather than simply continuing as we were, we've taken the opportunity to look at the business as a whole and build a stronger foundation for the future.
Our aim is simple: to build FFSLures into a trusted destination for finesse fishing, while continuing to offer quality products at prices that make sense for everyday anglers.
Lures remain at the heart of everything we do, but our vision is bigger than lures alone. We're developing FFSLures around the wider needs of finesse anglers, from soft plastics and terminal tackle through to clothing and, in time, our own range of tackle and accessories.
Meet Andrew
I'm Andrew, and I'm now working alongside Tom to help develop FFSLures and take the business into its next chapter.
I've been fishing from a very young age. My dad and grandad had me on the bank as soon as I could walk, and I've spent years fishing different styles, from float fishing and general coarse fishing through to sea fishing and, more importantly, lure fishing.
I've always been drawn to the idea behind FFSLures. Fishing can become an expensive hobby very quickly, and Tom has always tried to keep FFSLures about producing quality products while keeping them as affordable as possible.
When Tom decided it was time to close the doors, I didn't want to see FFSLures disappear. I believed the brand still had plenty of potential, and I wanted to help keep it going.
That led to the relaunch of FFSLures, and I'm now involved in pretty much everything outside of the workshop.
From completing orders and restocking the shelves to photography, filming, product testing, sourcing new products and helping shape the direction of the business, I'm working alongside Tom to build the FFSLures we both envision.
Where we're going
Our goal is to keep FFSLures at the forefront of finesse fishing while continuing to grow the range around what anglers actually need.
We want to make choosing and using finesse tackle straightforward.
That's why we're not interested in creating endless products simply for the sake of having a huge catalogue. We want to develop products that have a purpose, perform properly and give anglers confidence when they're on the bank.
We're also passionate about building a community around FFSLures.
We love seeing your catches, hearing your feedback and watching people put our products to the test in different situations. Your feedback helps shape what we do next.
The relaunch is only the beginning, and we've got plenty planned for the future.
Thank you
Whether you've been supporting FFSLures since the early days or you've only just discovered us, thank you.
Every order, big or small, genuinely helps us continue to grow the business and develop new products.
If you've got feedback, questions or a catch you'd like to share, please get in touch through the website or our social media channels.
Thanks for being part of the FFSLures community.
Stay safe and tight lines,
